. this is prime minister rabin along with president clinton and the palestinian leader, yasser arafat. after rabin was murdered, world leaders essentially traveled en masse to israel for his funeral. and it all happened really, really quickly. the prime minister was killed on november 4th. the funeral was held two days later on november 6th. and the world essentially coalesced for the funeral. the u.s. contingent for that funeral in 1995 was enormous. it included not only the current serving president, bill clinton, who was very close to rabin, but also former president jimmy carter and also former president george h.w. bush, three presidents traveling together on air force one for the funeral. there was also a big congressional delegation that went along, including the then spoo speaker of the house, newt gingrich. and that trip to israel for the funeral of rabin in november of 1995, that trip, not the events that precipitated it, not the assassination, but the trip itself, specifically the flight, is in part how we got the 1995 shutdown of the federal government, which is the last government shu

is not very good about negotiating these things. i mean, i couldn't imagine president clinton not calling or negotiating with newt gingrich. it is very risky to do this, although i don't really blame him, bshould not he be wrestlin with them? >> the nation's credit rating took a hit, remember that process, that debt ceiling negotiation process the president engaged in produced the sequester. so the white house at that point was dealing with capitol hill on this sort of brinkmanship, but they decided this time they're not going to do that. what has changed since then? well, in 2011, the president was a year away from running for election, he likes to say these days i have run my last election. so it is possible the republicans have misread the president's intent to negotiation on this health care law. keep in mind, why would the president sign a law that delays or tinkers with the threat of a government shutdown? he says he is not going to do it. he says when all of this gets out of the way, he looks at the process. he has not said what he is willing to look at but is offering that as perh

more details but we're on clinton park and valencia. the car was down this alley way more towards clinton park and guerrero. we're gathering more details this morning. what we understand this morning t carjacking and shooting according to san francisco police started around 4:17 this morning and involved some type of town car which belonged to a limousine service in san francisco. we believe the carjacking and shooting started at 18th and mission according to san francisco police. still trying to piece together what happened and the victim in the town car was able to escape and ended up crashing somewhere near clinton park and guerrero. we got done talking to police to the driver who was the only one in the car with the nearby hospital with non-life- threatening injuries. it's unclear who the suspects are in this case and exactly what happened. i did take a look at the damage myself a few moments ago. pretty minimal damage to the car. a bit of damage to the bumper and a little damage to the glass as well. working to see what happened as well. the tow crew came by to tow the car aw
